Quantitative atomic force microscopy image analysis of unusual filaments formed by the Acanthamoeba castellanii myosin II rod domain

Quantitative and statistical tools are used to extract information from atomic-force microscope (AFM) images about the aggregation of rod-like protein fragments into long filaments. Information is obtained about the length, height, and, more unusually, width of the filaments. --author supplied description
