Simple Fabrication of Molecular Circuits by Shadow Mask Evaporation
We describe a very clean method of creating submicron-scale electrical contacts for studies of conductivity in macromolecules. We describe measurements made on DNA, and present a qualitative model to explain why the resistance of DNA when deposited on a substrate so high. We also present measurements on carbon nanotubes, showing a surprisingly high current-carrying capability. --author-supplied description
