Abstract

This is a significant paper that shows the the him-5 gene controls a key aspect of meiosis. I did most of the early work, including identifying the gene and its overall function, but Judy Yanowitz finished off the better microscopy work. She is continuing this, and my on-going role is minimal because the field has become too competitive. She is showing that the gene is even more interesting that I thought.
