Abstract
This paper reviews and assesses the policy strategies implemented by Slovakia and Slovenia to meet the Maastricht criteria and prepare the economy for life in the eurozone, and discusses some of the dilemmas that arose during and after the process. On this basis, the paper draws some lessons that the experiences of these two countries offer to future eurozone entrants. --author-supplied description
