Abstract

"Thomas Lloyd conducted the premiere performances of his 45-minute choral/orchestral work Appearances on March 26 and 27 with the Bucks County Choral Society, Symphony in C, and soprano Maeve Höglund. The work re-imagines the encounters of three medieval women mystics (Theresa de Ávila, Hildegard von Bingen, and Julian of Norwich) with the risen Christ as depicted in their writings.
